Foreign Language Course Exemption and Assessment
Foreign Language Course Exemption
The following principles apply to exemption from General English I,
General English II, and elective foreign-language courses for students
registered in Turkish-medium programs:
-
The exemption examination is administered by the Modern Languages
Unit only at the beginning of the fall semester.
-
Students requesting exemption on the basis of an external
examination result must submit the original documentation in
person, together with a petition, to the Modern Languages Unit.
-
The School Administrative Board evaluates the submitted documents.
Accepted results are recorded for the relevant academic period.
Assessment and Grading
Achievement in compulsory and elective foreign-language courses is
evaluated in accordance with the Alanya University Associate and
